Nokia for online sharing

Nokia Corporation has bought Twango, media-sharing web site for an undisclosed sum as part of its strategy to bring file sharing to mobile phones.

The site providers subscribers with a monthly bandwidth of up to 250 megabytes that can be used to upload photos, videos and other personal media. Non-paying users can browse the content for free.

Twango was set up by former Microsoft managers, and is based in Redmond, Washington. It supports a greater variety of file types than many of its rivals, but has so far failed to secure a high-profile presence on the web.

Obviously, Twango acquisition is to step towards in their internet services, providing seamless access to information, entertainment, and social networks - at anytime, anywhere, from any connected device.
